IF AN EXISTING BASEMENT IS ON YOUR SITE AND IT IS JUST NOT BIG ENOUGH FOR YOUR NEEDS

Form GB were responsible for a large part of the construction package and architectural detailing for this project which was designed by a local architect who also got planning for it. Form GB acted as architectural project manager based on site for 2-3 days per week throughout the entire construction process, overseeing daily the sheet piling formation and basement through to the concrete frame construction. Form GB were responsible for structural and services co-ordination as well as quality control and were the general negotiator between the Client team and the contractor for this 20,000 sq ft luxury single family home. The finished property benefits from an incredibly large basement leisure complex that includes a 5 x 15m swimming pool and 3 floors of accommodation. The plant room alone is the size of an average one bedroom apartment. This was a truly ‘Alice in Wonderland’ project with 3m tall doors and fully bespoke finishes. A factory for living in, or perhaps a house come gallery to show off the Client’s extensive art collection. We are very fortunate to have had the opportunity to work as part of the management and design team for this truly unique and bespoke development and through our impeccable attention to detail have managed to achieve a finish that is very close to perfect despite its size.... the snagging list on this project was over 100 pages long but we got there in the end.
